Dr. Huang Xianhan, Associate Professor at The Education University of Hong Kong, specializes in teacher agency, AI-enhanced teacher competency, language teaching and learning. She began her career at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, later founded the PGDE in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language at The University of Hong Kong, and joined EdUHK in 2023 to advance teacher education innovation.

Our team's empirical studies on teacher development encompass teacher beliefs, informal learning, and AI-empowered education. Findings are published in 40+ scholarly papers, including SSCI-indexed journals such as Teaching and Teacher Education.

Focus areas include developing AI competency training programs for emerging educational challenges, advancing AI-facilitated creativity cultivation in language education, and pioneering innovative teaching environments.
